Our Partners
Development Communications (DevComs) Network is a partner to several national and international organisations in implementing development projects. We are currently in partnership with the following organisations:
National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP)
Development Communications Network provides NMCP with media linkage in the various parts of the nation. DevComs also serves as a key player in helping the media understand the activities of the organisation, especially on issues of malaria reporting.
Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI)
Development Communications Network is providing media visibility, coverage, linkage and capacity building of the media on issues of Family Planning for a 5 year time-line (2009-2014) for on all NURHI activities in Nigeria, especially FCT, Kaduna, Ibadan and Ilorin.
Youth Empowerment Foundation (YEF)
DevComs has been responsible for linking YEF with the media and has also helped the organisation in organising media for development forums around the organisation’s projects.


Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) Abuja
PPFN held training for inmates of Kuje Prisons in Abuja and were awarding inmates certificate. DevComs provided journalists from the print and broadcast media to cover the event for PPFN and subsequently linked the organisation’s focal person with the media.
DFID/SAVI (State Accountability and Voice Initiative) Lagos
SAVI project in Lagos has three thematic areas of engagement, namely Climate Change, People Living With Disability and Policy dialogue with the Lagos State House of Assembly. DevComs has been providing a voice for the people through the media in the three thematic areas of engagement, as well as ensuring media has a proper grasp of happenings in the listed areas of work.

Each thematic area of work has several NGOs working in them, and DevComs has also served as a link between the individual NGOs and the media. A few of such are DIN, HEDA, HBF, FOTE

Freedom Foundation
Development Communications Network has designed an 8-months strategic media plan for Freedom Foundation’s project activities. This covers the 3 arms of the foundation’s work (Genesis House, House of Refuge and the Primary school). DevComs has begun to act as an intermediary between the organisation and the media, to help integrate the organisation’s work with the media and provide the organisation visibility through the media.
Networking Forum on Reproductive Health and Rights in Nigeria
The Networking Forum is a partnership of NGOs working on the issues of sexual reproductive health and rights, and it consist of 9 organisations (AHI, SWAAN, CAUP, IAC, LRRDC, HUFFPED, DevComs, PPFN and CLP ). DevComs has provided media visibility for this partnership on World AIDS Day, and still serves as the only media proficient organisation in the partnership, thus serves all media needs required by other partners.
Erin Magazine
This is an upcoming dental health NGO, which gives free or highly subsidized dental care to children and youths. DevComs provided and still provides media linkage and visibility for this organisation.;
Health Matters Incorporated (HMI)
DevComs has provided media linkage and visibility for HMI. This was during their press briefing and their National Youth Health fair, 2011.
Strengthening Participatory Governance in Nigeria (SPGN)
This group is a coalition of Civil Society Organisation’s all over the country who work with SAVI in different thematic areas around the states of the federation. DevComs role in the SPGN is to edit, upload and gather content from various NGO’s working with SAVI Lagos, as well as manage the site.
